'Artist In Residence' Program at Loftus Public School
For the past few years Loftus Public School has been involved in the Artist in Residence program proudly sponsored by the Sutherland Credit Union. The aim of this program is to provide students with unique visual arts' opportunities under the guidance of professional artist, Ken Tucker. Mr Tucker is a multi-award winning artist who has exhibited his works in Australia and overseas. He predominantly works in acrylics but is also masterful in oils and watercolours.
Mr Tucker has worked with the gifted and talented stage two students, transforming outdated concrete structures on National Avenue into wonderful masterpieces depicting iconic Australian symbols. Students learnt many new skills in drawing and painting with perspective.
Stage three classes shared Mr Tucker's expertise, sketching, designing and painting Australian landscapes.
But the best is yet to come...
